CHAPTER 1

Caramel Records was an idea that began when a group of friends got together and decided that they could do more to help promote and represent people of color and those apart of the LGBTQ+ community. The company was founded in Denton and as with most college towns, provides for different backgrounds to merge into one diverse community with people from all different walks of life. We plan to represent artists in the DFW area and have their stories told because more often than not, minorities are discouraged from speaking up. Art is a form of expression, and a means of bringing groups of people together. We have a magazine set to release in the upcoming months, and a studio to record music for our artists that have signed with our label. Our plan is to recruit more artists in the near future and ensure that they have a platform to express themselves creatively through us.
